Workforce Diversity Final Assessment: Outline and Rubric Purpose of this Assessment In this competency you learned about the history of cultural identities, what factors are important to take into consideration with diversity, and why it is important to have diversity in the workplace. You also learned about leading with cultural intelligence and how to create a diversity plan. The purpose of this assessment is to apply what you have learned in this competency in order to create a diversity plan for an organization of your choice. It will be important to incorporate what you have learned in this competency in your plan. Items Required for Submission 1. 2. 1-page organization description 5-page diversity plan for an organization of your choice Step ONE: Decide on an Organization and Write a 1-Page Description Choose an organization that you will be creating your diversity plan for. Share details of the organization that would be important to know about for creating your plan. These factors include levels of employee satisfaction, what individuals are saying about diversity within the organization, and what some of the challenges and obstacles are to diversity. This description should be 1 page in length. Step TWO: Develop a Diversity Plan Create a 5-page diversity plan. Your plan should include the following: ● An explanation of what diversity means for the organization ● An evaluation of why there needs to be be a diversity plan ● A mission statement for diversity within the organization ● A section on priorities and goals pertaining to diversity ● Assignments for people who will be working towards implementing the plan 1 Final Assessment: Outline and RubricWorkforce Diversity Final Assessment: Outline and Rubric ● An accountability statement Step THREE: Complete Checklist for Submission Before you submit your work, check to see if you have met the criteria noted below. Did you: ✓ Ensure your plan is professionally written and laid out? ✓ Choose an organization to create a diversity plan for and write a 1 page description of it? ✓ Share details about the organization pertaining to diversity? ✓ Create a 5-page diversity plan which includes: o An explanation of what diversity means to the organization? o An evaluation of why there needs to be a diversity plan? o A mission statement for diversity within the organization? o A section on diversity priorities and goals? o Assignments for who will be implementing the plan? ✓ Ensure there are no more than five grammatical and/or spelling errors. The plan is written in a way that is easy to understand. Step FIVE: Submit Your Work ● Your completed files should be submitted through the Final Assessment page of your competency. ● Please note, for files smaller than 10MB (e.g., most Word documents), use the corresponding “+UPLOAD STUDENT FILE” button to upload your Final Assessment documents. For larger files of any type (e.g., voice over PowerPoint files, video presentations), please use the optional TEXT EDITOR to provide a URL where your tutorial faculty can download your file. ● How you create a download URL is up to you, but variousfree online providers, including Google Drive and Dropbox, offer this service.
