Your signature assignment requires you to research a pathophysiologic topic of i

Your signature assignment requires you to research a pathophysiologic topic of interest and create a case study to present information about your topic. You may choose to research and write about ANY pathophysiologic topic of interest to you (it can be a topic we have covered or a completely new one). I am not choosing the topics for you. Remember, you are not looking for an existing case study, instead you are creating the case study (you get to MAKE IT UP, so be creative).
You must address each of the SECTIONS as listed in the instructions.
The entire paper should include a TITLE PAGE, BODY, and REFERENCE PAGE. See below for further details. No abstract required.
TITLE PAGE = Include the case title, your full name, course, date, instructor, and campus.
BODY = This is where you address the SECTIONS as listed in the instructions. The body of your paper should include BOLDED headings of each section, then address the information that should be included in each section in paragraph form (see below for an example of what the body of your paper should look like). The body of your paper should be 3-4 pages in length. However, if your paper is longer than 4 pages, it will be accepted without deduction.
REFERENCE PAGE = A minimum of 3 scholarly references are required. At least one of them needs to be a non-internet source. Your textbook is an example of a non-internet source and can be referenced.
Sections for the BODY of your paper (3-4 pages):
Section: Introduction (patient and problem) = Explain who the patient is (age, gender, etc.). Explain what the problem is (What were they diagnosed with, what happened?). Introduce your main argument (What should you as a nurse focus on or do?)
Section: Pathophysiology = Explain the disease (What are the symptoms? What causes it?)
Section: History = Explain what health problems the patient has (Have they been diagnosed with other diseases?). Detail any and all previous treatments (Have they had any prior surgeries or are they on medication?)
Section: Nursing Physical Assessment = List all the patient’s health stats in sentences with specific numbers/levels (BP, bowel sounds, ambulation, etc.)
Section: Related Treatments = Explain what treatments the patient is receiving because of their disease.
Section: Nursing Diagnosis & Patient Goal = Explain what your nursing diagnosis is (What is the main problem for this patient? What needs to be addressed?). Explain what your goal is for helping the patient recover (What do you want to change for the patient?)
Section: Nursing Interventions = Explain how you will accomplish your nursing goals, and support this with citations (reference the literature).
Section: Evaluation = Explain how effective the nursing intervention was (What happened after your nursing intervention? Did the patient get better?)
Section: Recommendation = Explain what the patient or nurse should do in the future to continue recover/improvement.
