In your Signature Assignment for Week 8, you will be developing three complete lesson plans appropriate for teaching a classroom of diverse students. Those plans will include modifications or accommodations for a student with special needs (such as a student with a specific learning disability, emotional impairment, or physical disability; differentiated instruction for English Language Learners; adaptations for a student from a diverse cultural or religious background).
In preparation, you will begin by writing the goals and objectives for each lesson and determine how you will assess student learning. Once completed, you will use this week’s assignment to help complete the lesson plans for Week 8.
For each of the three lessons plans for Week 8, you will:
Write objectives based on Bloom’s Taxonomy and appropriate for the stated subject/grade level.
Develop authentic assessments that will measure the objectives.
Suggest adaptations for diverse learners in your classroom.
Create a rubric or scoring tool for each assessment.
