The Constitution has very few criteria for becoming president: age, residency, b

The Constitution has very few criteria for becoming president: age, residency, birthplace. Of course, in order for the populace to vote for a presidential candidate, he or she must demonstrate character traits and a background of experiences that appeal to voters. From voters’ perspectives over time, the image of the ideal president has shifted in myriad directions. The 2020 election highlighted for us the vast differences between what one segment of the population wants as compared to what another segment of the population wants in a president. In addition, the traits we might want in a president are often not the traits we would want in a friend, a business partner, a life partner, etc.
Given the very brief list of requirements in the Constitution, what are some requirements you think should be added to the list in order to ensure that we have qualified candidates in our presidential elections? Think of both personal traits and job experiences that would be good additions to the list.
