In this discussion, we will continue to explore employment discrimination laws. However, you will use this knowledge to research and apply these laws to the workplace to prevent discrimination. Our discussion in this module demonstrates what happens if processes are not in place. This activity will also help you when you work on your project in modules 5 through 8.
For this discussion, find an article that addresses one of the following:
How to prevent discrimination and/or harassment in the workplace.
Best practices for employers to ensure an inclusive workplace.
Training programs/workplace programs to prevent discrimination.
Summarize the article for your classmates and include the following:
What processes does the author suggest?
Is this a process that can be applied to any type of employment?
What would be the challenges of implementing this program?
What changes or additional processes would you recommend?
Does the article address issues specific to distributive employees? What policies need to be implemented to address issues that are unique to these employees?
How does this compare to your current employment or previous employment?
