Instructions for creating Graphic Displays and Discussions of Potential Outcomes

Instructions for creating Graphic Displays and Discussions of Potential Outcomes: READ THE DOCUMENT UPLOADED AND ALL READINGS CITED INSIDE THE DOCUMENT TO HELP YOU WITH PART 7 OF THIS ASSIGMENT, THIS ASSIGNMENT WILL BE ADDED TO THE DOCUMENT UPLOADED SO PLEASE FOLLOW DIRECTIONS
Grading Rubric
Graphs. All graphs are titled, include axis labels, and depict all measured relevant behaviors. (28 points)
Outcomes. For each outcome, include the following: (include at least 3 outcomes; 72 points total)
Describe outcome accurately. (8 points for each outcome)
Interpret outcome appropriately. (8 points for each outcome)
Next Steps: describe a potential course of action given the outcome. (8 points for each outcome)
Graphic Display and Discussion of Potential Outcomes (1-3 pages including graphs)
In this section, you will present several potential outcome scenarios (minimum 3). That is, given what is known about the procedure(s) you propose to implement and given your understanding of behavior principles, you will present a range of potential outcomes. You should include all outcomes that could reasonably be expected to occur. Among these will, of course, be the planned outcomes – in most cases, a successful intervention. However, behavior-change efforts often do not unfold as planned and sometimes unintended outcomes are encountered. The ability to predict and plan for such situations is an important clinical skill. So, in this section, you should consider all reasonably possible outcomes.
It may be helpful to present a table of potential outcomes.
Describe each potential outcome under separate headings (e.g., Outcome 1: Successful Intervention, etc.).
Provide a graphic display, table, or other appropriate visual representation of the outcome.
This display should represent – generally – the outcome you are attempting to describe. Do not include extra variability or detail unless they are essential to the analysis (e.g., if you are describing different within-condition patterns, it will be necessary to use sufficient detail to represent those patterns).
Provide a brief description of the outcome (e.g., “this graph shows an increase in X over baseline rates…”).
Provide interpretive comments (e.g., “these results would suggest that Y functioned as reinforcement for X during intervention phases…”). Were your analytic efforts sufficient to permit you to determine a relation between the IV and the DV or must your interpretations be more cautious/suggestive? Would these results make sense conceptually (in terms of basic principles of behavior)?
Describe a potential course of action given the outcome. Would you continue the procedure? Program for generalization?  Stop the intervention and try something else?
