B. INTRODUCTION
Begin with one thesis sentence (identify the “Art Title”, Artist, date and media of the work and categorize).  Categorize from the following options (pick one–cultural,
social, political, religious, intellectual, environmental categories).
Then, briefly describe the artwork using relevant art vocabulary (such
as Elements of Art and/or Principles of Design).
C. PARAGRAPH 1
From your perspective, connect the artwork to a global/societal
issue or topic–clearly state this issue or topic.  This should relate
to the category in your thesis above (e.g. cultural, social, political,
religious, intellectual, or environmental).  Tip for sentence
arrangement:  What was the first part of the artwork that led you to
this issue/topic?  What about the artwork sparks a connection to this
issue/topic? Why is this issue/topic important or interesting?
And, you will also use an extra source (different perspective/expert) to further explain the issue or topic.  It is important to identify this source in your sentence (insert the author/name, news source, organization, etc.) in your sentence and use their published work.  This source can include a creative web article, song, film or poem/literary work, etc.
IMPORTANT:  the extra source you will include will be evidence to support
your selected issue or topic.  It is important to paraphrase from the
source (entire copied paragraphs SHOULD NOT be included). This paragraph
is NOT research on the artist, and it is not about finding a published
article about the artwork by another source.
D. PARAGRAPH 2
And, for this paragraph, you will emphasize active solutions (your role) and how you can make a difference in your community or global society, at large.  It is important to propose
a possible solution(s) or course of action–detail specific examples of
what you would say, or do, or arrange (if you had all the means in the
world).  IMPORTANT:  these active solutions will be based on the [topic]
you identified or, concern(s) you see [issue].
E. CONCLUSION
Include a
separate statement that summarizes your thoughts on the art, insights
you have gained or impression made about Modern art and the selected
artwork.  You may restate general information but do not introduce new
points or ideas. Purdue Owl :Conclusions

It is important to paraphrase the published article and content (entire
