Digital infographics present information in a visual and concise way. Images, charts, and minimal yet purposeful text are used to convey meaning. Infographics can be used to enhance students’ engagement with content and personalize the learning experience for a variety of students. Digital infographics can be used to teach students how to safely, ethically, and effectively convey information.

Research web-based applications that can be used to create digital infographics such as Canva, Adobe Spark, Visme, etc. The infographic content should focus on safe technology use and identification of the best digital teaching tools for classroom teachers in your current setting or the one in which you are most interested. Infographics should be visually appealing with color, graphic elements, and variations in text.
Conduct research and use your findings to create a resource that teachers can refer to in order to model and support safe, healthy, legal, and ethical use of digital information, online media resources, and technology. The infographic should include the following:
Definition of copyright law, fair use, Creative Commons, and public domain and steps to obtain information safely and ethically. Tips for maintaining a healthy balance pertaining to technology usage.
Description of ways to examine sources for credibility and identify underlying assumptions.
Definition of digital citizenship and explanation of how it can aid in supporting safe, healthy, legal, and ethical uses of digital information. Tips to protect personal data while using technology.
Part 2: Digital Tools
Specify a grade range and research and explore grade level appropriate, current, free tools that can be used to personalize learning in virtual environments. The tools should be ones the teacher could utilize when planning learning experiences based upon diverse student needs. Select 10 tools to showcase.
Using one of the bookmarking, notetaking, and organizational tools you researched in Topic 5 but did not utilize for the assignment, create a resource for teachers to learn about digital tools so they can better select tools to meet diverse student needs. The resource should include 10 digital tools and contain the following:
Logo for each digital tool.
Brief written description for each digital tool including primary uses and functionality.
One idea for the implementation of each tool as it pertains to personalized learning for diverse student populations. Include strategies for student engagement and motivation using each specific digital tool.
Support the infographic with in-text citations and a minimum of three scholarly resources.
Submit the infographic as a .pdf file and copy and paste the bookmarking, notetaking, or organizational tool link into a Word document along with the list of scholarly resources and upload the document.
