For your first data visualization homework you will make an infographic on Taylor Swift. You should make at least 3 visualizations. Your audience is a layperson, who will look at this one time (for example, someone might read it in an online newspaper – you can also assume they can click around, use the tooltip, etc). The title of the infographic should be an argument or an insight you are making about Taylor Swift. Examples could be “Taylor Swift’s Best Album Was Fearless” or “Taylor Swift’s Best Songs Are Instrumentals.”
Do not put your name anywhere on this document, or in the title of the document, or anywhere at all. Canvas makes it easy for me to track student submissions, even if you don’t put your name anywhere. I think it’s important that these are graded without knowing who is being graded to reduce the likelihood of bias.
This is individual work. Don’t talk with other students about what they are doing, or what you are doing. Just so we are clear, it is absolutely not cheating to Google something like “how do I make a line chart in Power BI” and follow the instructions. In fact, I strongly recommend you Google things about PowerBI.

While working on your visualizations, use Taylor Swift.xlsx Download Taylor Swift.xlsx (ive linked in) which includes data related to each song such as Song Name, Album Name, Release Date, Popularity, Length, Danceability, Acousticness, Energy, Instrumentalness, Liveness, Loudness, Speechiness, Valence, and Tempo.
Prepare at least 3 visualizations combined in a dashboard. The best submissions typically include 8 to 15 visualizations.
Make sure to give appropriate titles to your visualizations in your dashboard.
What to Submit
Submit your completed .pbix file on Canvas. No other file type will be accepted for this submission.
Do not put your name anywhere in the file name or in the dashboard.
The dashboard tab will be the only element graded.
