Students are required to complete a PowerPoint for the final project. Most information should be
listed in bullet form, a few sentences in your own words are allowed, NO long paragraphs, and each slide should have a title. Will not be accepted if this layout is not followed.
The final PowerPoint should contain the following:
1. Slide #1 Title slide include your name course number and section
2. Slide #2 Clearly identify 5 LOCAL and free health-related organizations within New
York State. (Located in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Long Island, Bronx, Westchester or Staten Island).
3. Slide #3 & #4 State the purpose of each organization in your own words
4. Slide #5 Describe how you or your acquaintances can use each organization for a
healthier lifestyle.
5. Slide #7 & #8 Summarize how each organization’s main purpose can make changes for
your community.
6. Slide #9 & #10 Identify the significance that each organization has on your own health
behaviors.
7. Slide #11 Describe each targeted population for each organization (be specific, gender?
age? economic status?
8. Slide #12 and #13 Include all contact information for each organization, this means the
address location, phone number, email and website.
9. Use images and be creative with your PowerPoint.
10. This should be no less than 15 slides and no more than 25 slides and font size should
be at least Times New Roman size 22. Remember, like a presentation, you are
explaining the agency to me as if I have never heard of it. (2.5 points)
11. Double-check and check that we can view it, PLWASE NEED TO BE DONE on Microsoft PowerPoint. NO GOOGLE DOCS NO PDF.
Examples of Local NY HEALTH RELATED ORGANIZATIONS: Planned Parenthood, Pride for Youth, Live On NY, Maurer Foundation for Breast Health Education, EPIC Long Island, City Meals on Wheels, A Free Bird, GreenThumb, Harlem United, Long Island Crisis Center, GMHC.org, GlamourGals Foundation Inc., etc. (you can use these if you’d like, or find your own)
