Instructions: For the final draft, all students will submit a 8-9 page paper with formal citations (any standard citation format acceptable) by the due date on the course syllabus. All papers must use at least two academic sources (books or articles in peer-reviewed academic journals) in their analyses — i.e., books or articles from peer-reviewed journals. Try to engage the author of at least one of these sources in a conversation about the question your paper is addressing. E.g., In her article, “_____________,” Jane Smith argues/found that… Then describe how your paper will address the same, or a similar, question in looking at the materials you’ll be consulting. At some point, explain how what you found is similar to or different from Smith’s findings or her conclusion(s).
Prompt: Choose one movement we have examined. Explain the importance of one type of rhetoric or rhetorical strategy that you believe was potentially the most powerful, or persuasive, in inspiring people to act. Provide convincing examples. (You may discuss other uses of rhetoric as important, but defend your choice of one use of rhetoric as potentially the most powerful, or persuasive, based on what you know already and what you learn from your research.)
Paper Topic: The American Civil Right’s Movement
I have attached my friend’s paper as a reference. I have selected the same topic as them so it can be similarly structured with ideas and arguments borrowed. I have also attached my notes, the readings, and primary texts that were provided by the course, relevant to this topic. I need you to find two additional scholarly sources to cite within the paper, along with using some information for the sources provided.
