Narrow your interest topics by using the tips we just learned this week. For thi

Narrow your interest topics by using the tips we just learned this week. For this week’s homework choose one subfield that you are the most interested in and develop a list of research topics that you find interesting within it. In less than on page (single spaced, 11pt arial):
1. List your subfield of interest, and find 2 professors doing research related this topic. Choose ONE project that interests you the most from each professor’s research. BRIEFLY answer the following questions:
List the 2 professors and their departments, a URL of their website, and provide the name of their research project that you find most interesting (if you are not using your own words to give a name to the project, then use quotes and provide a citation)
For each project describe why you find interesting.  How does it intersect with your interests, strengths, priorities that you identified in the assessments from HW 3/4?
Describe the skills you might want to learn if you worked on this project. Why are you interested to acquire these skills, and is there anywhere else in your major curriculum that you could get them?
What experience do you already have that might be useful to the professor if you worked for them (classes you took, previous work, your personal traits)
Do not exceed one page total. Single space, no smaller than 11 pt arial font. Also include the names of the professors and URLs for the web sites or papers describing the project.  Submit as .doc, .docx file. Format as 4 numbered sections/paragraphs each addressing one of the numbered items above. All 4 sections combined must fit within the page limits.
WARNING: zero tolerance for plagiarism!  Be sure you are not copying from any websites or other sources! If the writing is too hard to understand, choose another source! If all of the work of the professor you chose is too hard to understand and summarize in your own words, pick another professor. Remember, these are potential professors you might like to work for.  If you cannot understand what they do, they might not be a good choice for you!
If any evidence of plagiarism is found, even half a sentence, you will receive a zero on the assignment and referral to SJA. If you are not sure what counts as plagiarism, review the video from the Course Basics module and the readings on plagiarism. If any part of your work partly copies a published work, including the internet, that is plagiarism.  Do not use inappropriate quoting to substitute for putting things in your own words. Big Tip for avoiding plagiarism: Read the source material, put it away, and write from your understanding of the material in your own words.
