Throughout the semester we have discussed different fields of psychology and how they appear and are applied in our everyday lives. For this paper, you will select a field of psychology, describe its key features; report on how theories and research from your selected field are applied in everyday situations; and reflect on how you might apply information from this field in your life.
ASSIGNMENT
You will write a 3-4 page essay structured in three parts
Part 1: Describe your selected field of psychology. Your description should include
• a definition of the field,
• some of the topics that researchers in the field study,
• names of at least three theorists or scientists who have made important contributions to the field and
their contributions,
Part 2: Summary of how principles, theories and research from the field are used in everyday situations
• Briefly describe a specific principle, theory or body of research in your selected field
• Discuss how that theory of research is used in practical real-world situations
Part 3: Reflect on how you might apply information from this field in your life
• Briefly discuss how you could principles, theories, or research from your selected field can be applied in
your life.
