Reflect on your experience with research. Have you ever participated in a research project, either as a researcher or as a research participant? This experience does not have to be formal. It could be as simple as participation in a client satisfaction survey or a course evaluation. Describe your involvement and what your experience was like. Based on your reading this week, what type of research was conducted? What was the purpose of the research? Do you feel that the research type was appropriate to address the phenomenon being studied?
The Learning Journal entry should be a minimum of 400 words and not more than 750 words. Use APA citations and references if you use ideas from the readings or other sources.
Please note that the work in HS 4990 is intended to help you prepare to complete your capstone project in HS 4995. As such, it is very important that you complete your Learning Journals very carefully, as they will be your primary source of feedback from your instructor. If you have any questions about your assignments, please reach out to your instructor.
The rubric detailing how you will be graded for this assignment can be found within the unit’s assignment on the main course page.

As the authors present the justification for this model, they lay out the various approaches which each involve research to serve a specific end. Each approach should provide some basis of why research may be useful to inform clinical health practice, build on existing research, engage the public voice in research, or provide gaps in evidence on important issues.
