Students are to build upon their annotated bibliographies by creating a literature review. This should include a brief (i.e. one to two paragraphs) introduction to the proposed study (what is the research question/aim of the proposed research and why is it important) and summaries of a minimum of five peer-reviewed articles supporting the proposed research question. Summaries should be in the student’s own words and should highlight what the previous research looked at their overall methodology, and a summary of the results. Summaries should be tied into the proposed research question (i.e. how does the summarized research support the proposed research?).
Literature reviews should be between 3 and 5 pages. See the attached rubric for details on grading criteria and expectations.
