Students, utilizing their sociological imagination, and framed within Intersectional lens, are asked to critically and conceptually analyze fantasy as it is represented or not represented in sites of oppression, specifically as it relates to indigenous children. How can fantasy, as a tool of resistance be juxtaposed with oppression . In the course, how can the books, articles, analysis that we have engaged in, and with, be used as a critical point of entry into the fantasy genre and its representation of children’s culture?
