The Works Cited page contains sources. Sources just means the place from which you get your animal information, such as a website on the Internet, or a database from the Dallas College (DC) library, and eventually you will put sentences from your sources into the body of your paper (those sentences will be quotes and paraphrases — explanation on those is forthcoming). For now in this assignment, you must find five sources, usually from the Internet or a database, to complete this assignment. I say “usually” from the Internet because books may also be used when the library is open. So for now gather sources from the Internet and at least one source from the DC library database.
Please be sure to alphabetize sources by the first letter that appears once it is listed in the correct form in your WC (Works Cited) page. If you have more than one source with the same first letter, such as The Snow Leopard, alphabetize by the next available different letter that is different. It is true that sources from the Internet often don’t have authors and that is ok. Whether you have an author or not, alphabetize by the first letter. Alphabetization mistakes are penalized.
