Students will complete a research paper consisting of the analysis of a social problem or at-risk population.
This paper will require you to:
Identify a social problem or at-risk population.
Discuss the history of the problem, the current scope of the problem, and issues involved in providing services.
Explain how a specific agency is addressing this issue.
As part of your research, you must contact an agency that provides services that address your chosen social problem/at-risk population. During the interview, gather the following information:

Job qualifications
Client population and target population
Method of service delivery (home visits, group therapy, office visits, etc.)

Any other relevant information
I have started by writing an abstract, which is listed below. I attached the information from the interview with the social worker.
Abstract: Highlighting the existence and consequences of the waiting list for individuals with intellectual disabilities who require services under the Michelle P. Waiver raises awareness amongst the public, policymakers, and stakeholders about the challenges faced by individuals with special needs and their families. Advocating for timely, accessible, efficient, and alternative interventions is essential for their development, well-being, and overall quality of life. The prolonged wait list reflects inefficiencies, resource shortages, funding gaps, and bureaucratic barriers. Providing guidance and navigating waiver services helps clarify roles and responsibilities, driving advocacy efforts to improve access to timely services and expand options for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
