You will be responsible for one project during the course. You will work to research, write, and present a company policy. The policy must be a company related topic. The company will be fictitious, but the policy has to meet the necessary private and public sector guidelines. The project will be presented in a PowerPoint and research paper using the APA style. Since the APA criteria is worth 20% of the assignment, please refer to the APA style guidelines.
Write the Project using Microsoft Word with a 1-inch margin (left, right, top, and bottom) and following the APA style.
Note: Points will be deducted if the paper does not comply by the guidelines described within this document.
Individual Project
Additional criteria: Be creative but also keep in mind: justify why the policy is needed, articulate the goal of the policy, emphasize what it is expected by the employee, write clearly without too much jargon, describe rewards or punitive actions, include state and federal law statements if applicable, identify audience, provide information about the problem, explain how the issue will be resolved, appropriate content, organization, proper writing mechanics, and above all professional. Remember, the project is a company policy, which can have procedures as well. Not to be confused with writing step-by-step procedures.
After all of the content has been researched and gathered, you will compare and contrast to assess a conclusion on how ethically effective or ineffective the company policy will be.
The topics for the project company policy can be: ethics, sexual harassment, equal opportunity, disciplinary actions, customer service, contracts & acquisitions, and employee benefits. For additional topics, e-mail the instructor for approval.
Paper Structure (Minimum page count is at least 6 full pages)

PowerPoint Guidelines
The Powerpoint should be approximately 10 minutes maximum if you were presenting to an audience or 10 – 15 slides if presenting in the online format.
